Oxford, UK | 14–15 February 2025
We are thrilled to announce our upcoming seminar, which will explore community-led strategies for rebuilding after disasters. This event marks Stage A of ASF-International's initiative, Challenging Practice: Essentials for the Social Production of Habitat.
Hosted by Oxford Brookes University, the seminar will include engaging activities and discussions centred on the importance of community-driven design and planning in revitalising urban “living heritage” during reconstruction efforts.
Drawing from our ongoing work in Antakya, Türkiye, participants will take part in hands-on, scenario-based exercises. These activities will help us better understand the challenges and opportunities that arise when we collaborate with communities, prioritising their needs, cultural values, and practices in the aftermath of disasters.
