This is an online version of our well established seminar accredited by RIBA CPD Core Curriculum.
Challenging Practice is an independent-learning programme for built environment professionals and students to explore socially engaged forms of practice and critically reflect on the challenges of community and international development. The course aims to prepare participants to work in the field and can be followed up by a Stage B internship or workshop allowing to put these newly learnt skills into action. Themes covered by the course include: participation, working in partnerships and disaster preparedness.
The seminar will include the following activities and resources:
- Facilitated online sessions – You will participate in three 3-hour online sessions held between 10am -1pm on three consecutive Saturdays commencing on 22nd January 2022, exploring a case study through interactive role-play exercises.
- Online repository – A variety of resources will be available through the course’s website to support your learning (readings, audio/video media clips, and interactive activities such as online quizzes).
- Peer-to-peer support – In between the sessions, you will have the opportunity to build relationships and exchange ideas with your peers taking the course.
Upon active engagement in the three sessions, you will receive a Stage A Certificate of Completion of this RIBA-accredited CPD course.
